You’ll begin your experience by collecting your equipment at Proctor’s Park, where you’ll be introduced to your instructor. They'll take you through a safety briefing before guiding you onto the River Soar. There, they'll teach you the basics of your chosen watersport while you experience Leicestershire’s largest river, kayaking or paddleboarding along with your instructor guiding the way. Whichever watersport you choose, enjoy views of the countryside and local wildlife as you paddle peacefully through bridges, locks and weirs. You're guaranteed to get some great exercise as you take in the sights. Part-way through your trip, you'll disembark and settle in to a quiet, cosy picnic spot. Tuck into a prepared picnic of sandwiches or wraps, fresh fruit, crisps, pastries and drinks. When you're done, you'll head back out onto the water to return back to the starting point.
